Sometimes the best way to touch the world is through someone else's hands. We are honored and grateful to touch the world through the hands of our missionaries:

Kim and Andrew Staves, Lithuania -

Kim and Andrew met during intramural volleyball at George Fox University-though the romance did not begin until a few years later. In 2002, two years after they married, they sold nearly everything they owned and moved to Lithuania to volunteer in the Student Life Department at LCC International University. In 2005, their daughter, Ieva Kirstine, was born. Baby brother Isak Andrius joined the family June 4, 2009.

Hal & Nancy Thomas

Hal and Nancy are missionaries under Northwest Yearly Meeting of Friends, but currently on loan to an innovative interdenominational program for theological formation in Latin America.

Known as PRODOLA (literally "Latin American Doctoral Program"), it offers intensive seminars in different cities in Central and South America, with students doing pre- and post-class work over the Internet. That means Hal and Nancy travel a lot from their current primary residence in Newberg, Oregon.

In addition to administrative tasks, Nancy teaches the seminar "Culture, Spirituality, and Mission." The exploration and integration of these three themes lies at the heart her other love: writing.
